- For a while, as the opportunity has arisen, I've been testing different multi channel USB sound cards. So I bought myself a couple of these little sound cards and plugged one in. when opening mixxx, i was asked to configure my sound devices. my audio interface showed up as well as asio4all in the selection box. the new little $1 soundcard did not show up, so I tried using asio4all for the headphone output and my audio interface for the master out. no dice. headphone output was silent. tried unplugging my audio interface and using the onboard sound along with the usb soundcard, onboard sound being the master, channel 1-2, headphone being, well, headphone, 3-4 since the two can't share the same channels. still no headphone output.
any advice for troubleshooting this? the usb soundcard installed automatically and works fine, windows media player, youtube, etc all play through the headphone jack in this thing.
